The Croatian Cleaner Production Centre is a non-governmental non-profit organization promoting concept of cleaner production in Croatia. Centre’s services are intended for industry, administration bodies, industrial associations, educational institutions, financial organizations as well as general public.
Croatian Cleaner Production Centre (CRO CPC) was established in 2000 by the decision of the Commercial Court in Zagreb as a non-governmental non-profit organization. Centre was established under UNIDO/UNEP program National Cleaner Production Centres.
To date, CRO CPC implemented cleaner production program in Croatia, over 30 industrial companies participated ranging from food industry, metal processing to thermal power plant and chemical industry. 86 people were trained as cleaner production specialist and Environmental Management Systems and 29 cleaner production project implemented.
Main Centre’s activities are providing policy making, company and other consulting (CSR, Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control - IPPC, Environmental Impact Assessment – EIA, GHG verification, ISO 14001, etc.), education, information dissemination, training, promotion, fostering and advising interested parties and general public on the concept and the methodology of cleaner production and other aspects of environmental protection. In addition, the Centre facilitates cooperation with non governmental, educational, scientific, professional and governmental institutions and associations through various projects (cleaner production, waste minimization, environmental accounting, environmentally friendly technologies, and waste management). In addition, the Centre has experience in sustainability performance monitoring and planning. |
